Helping you fund your innovation is our mission.
Welcome to the Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC), where you will find the support and resources you need to bring your innovation to market. The path forward is exciting and complex, and you’ll need experienced guides to help you find your way.
One service the Center for Technology Commercialization offers is assistance with your funding acquisition efforts through the federal Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs. Securing federal funding for your innovation is a critical step in advancing towards commercial success. Together, we will assemble a team of advocates who will help you evaluate the feasibility of your ideas and plan and apply for federal R&D grants, seed angel or venture funding, business plans and much more.
Explore this site to learn more about SBIR/STTR funding sources, our methodology, and to read about our portfolio of successful clients. Then get in touch with us to see how you too can leverage the Center for Technology Commercialization’s resources for your start-up success, including Lean Start-Up and the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network (WEN).
Not sure where to start? No problem. We’ve grouped our services into three easy stages: Evaluate, Plan and Apply. Whether you’re new to the business world or an experienced entrepreneur, we start with a no-cost evaluation of where your business is on the roadmap to success.
Once our evaluation is complete, our experienced consultants (who have over 75 years of combined commercialization experience) will guide you to our micro-grants to get you started toward SBIR/STTR or other funding you need to become a part of Wisconsin’s innovation future.
Congratulations on taking your first step! We look forward to working with you.
